What are the Restrictions for Dermal Fillers?

- Those who use anti-inflammatory drugs. Ibuprofen and Aspirin should be avoided for 1 week before and 2 days after as these can cause bleeding or increased bruising at the injection site.
What are the side effects of dermal fillers?
- Cold Sores. Dermal fillers may trigger an outbreak for treatments around the mouth if you’ve previously had cold sores.
- Swelling/Bruising. In most cases swelling and bruising is minimal but some patients do experience swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and that can last up to 72 hours after the procedure. This is more common for lip augmentations.
