Blepharoplasty – Eyelid Surgery

Excess eyelid skin and lowering of the eyebrows can make you look older, tired and/or distressed. While this occurs as a part of aging for many people, upper eyelid heaviness and drooping skin can also occur at an early age. More than just a cosmetic problem, this change in facial structure can gradually affect your vision, as the excess skin may reduce your peripheral vision or cause issues with overall eye health. A blepharoplasty, commonly referred to as a lid lift, is a common oculoplastic procedure. The goal of a lid lift is to remove the excess skin from the upper or lower eyelids, reducing the “baggy” appearance around the eyes and restoring any lost function.

Dermal Fillers have been a part of SoCal Eye’s Ophthalmology practice in Long Beach for over 20 years.
