January 5th 2022. Today the Orange County Medical Association in conjunction with Orange Coast Magazine announce their 2022 Physicians of Excellence. This year’s Physicians of Excellence were judged by the OCMA to be the most accomplished and caring. SoCal Eye is proud to announce that two of our leading Eye Physicians join this prestigious list. Congratulations to Dr Carl Hartman and Dr Emma Clay.
Physicians of Excellence
The Physicians of Excellence (POE) program recognizes the fact that all physicians meet a standard of excellence simply by the fact that they have completed the training and education necessary to become medical doctors. However, there are some who go above and beyond in serving their profession and patients, and as a result, the OCMA Board created the POE program to recognize and honor those physicians. Now in its fifteenth year, the POE program has become recognized as a fair and unbiased selection process identifying those physicians in the community who have exhibited the skills, training and commitment to their patients and the community to stand out above their peers as physicians of excellence.

Dr Carl Hartman and Dr Emma Clay are industry leading ophthalmologists specializing in LASIK and Cataract Surgery in addition to General Ophthalmology. They practice at SoCal Eye in Los Alamitos and Lakewood serving patients throughout Long Beach and Orange County. “I am immensely proud and humbled by this award” said Dr Clay. “I see this as a testament to the culture of exceptional care that we have created at SoCal Eye and it is great to see this being recognized by the OCMA.” Dr Hartman commented “Thank you to the Orange County Medical Association for this award.
